With AstroVirgil you can analyze data from the space-based Chandra
X-ray telescope. You can study supernovas, black holes and the center
of galaxies. Above is the main AstroVirgil window showing what is
left of Cas A, a star that blew some time ago. What
is left now is a supernova remnant (an expanding shell of
very hot gas).
AstroVirgil is free and
the 1.2 release ready for download!
